Background
Born & raised in Southern California to Korean immigrants (who moved to Los Angeles in the 80’s). Was diagnosed with a Kidney Disease as a youth (first of many formative experiences) and spent a lot of time in & out of the hospitals. As an adolescent, witnessed firsthand the unfortunate decline of close friends due to: a lack of mental health literacy in his community, a lack of resources around substance abuse, and a lack of real & connectable mentorship. Pursued a career in education for these reasons.
Loves being a father, his most prized accomplishment to this date. LA Sports. Art Collector. Hobbyist in Photography/Video.

The Educator
Attended the University of CA, San Diego and received a Bachelor’s in Psychology. From there, attended Teacher’s College of Columbia University in New York City for his Masters in Psychological Counseling & Education. 10 years as a School Counselor. UC Berkeley Application Reader (Part-Time). UCLA Extension Instructor for the College Counseling Certificate Program (Part-Time).
